“checking File system on C:”

December 24th, 2021

Every time I turn on my computer this message comes up after the W7 logo screen saying “Loading WIndows” and it gives me a countdown to skip it if I want. Even if I press a key nothing really happens the countdown continues. Then it stays at 1 second, and sometimes it loads to my home screen right away other times it freezes. Just before I wrote this, I had to restard and I had to turn off and on my computer 6 times because it kept freezing in that screen. I am running windows 7, its a new computer, only used like 30 times or so. I do recall doing a windows update one night and it was installing 1 out of 2 updates, and it literally took like 4 hours…so I turned the computer off thinking it froze, so maybe thats causing the problem since it didnt happen before that.
I googled around and found out about something called dirty drive or something, where you use the “Run” terminal and u type in fsutil dirty query c:…after I do this I get a message saying The FSUTIL utility requires that you have administrative privilages. Please help, I dont want to keep on restarting until this thing everntually boots into windows.
thanks guys

Answer #1
Put in your Windows 7 install disk, restart, boot from your dvd drive, click your language, click start up repair. It will look for and repair start up issues.
Answer #2
thank you, is that the same disk as the ones that I made the back up from? I got a ASUS gaming laptop and when I started it up, the system told me to create a back up disk…which I did on 4 disks….do I just put in disk 1 of 4?
Answer #3
Which ever disk you have that contains you windows installation. You may need to download the retail disk (if you don’t have the disk) and burn it to an .iso on a dvd. If that is the case, just make sure it is the same version.
Answer #4
Had to use my Windows 7 Disk, It worked like a charm. I really appreciate your fast help, I was able to boot into windows in like 8 seconds…FINALLY wow what a relief…. once again thanks a lot brother.

Answer #7
You may have some overheating issues. You could always uninstall those updates that you think may have been the problem, go to add remove programs, click show updates at the top of the page.
Answer #8
hey! mate… just leave the process as it is… this process will take about 2 – 5 minutes… and I’m sure it will not take place again… but, do not end it until it finishes… coz, your drive is checking corrupted files on the process….

I left it for longer the 5 mins at times….sometimes it completed it and boots to windows but right after I shut down or restart its back again.
Answer #10
reboot your windows mate… or repair it.. these are the only two options you’ve got now…

This maybe the case of a virus that has corrupted your system drivers, try to use your back up disks but first boot with cd in your bios. or format your system drive first then use your back up disks.usually this will do the trick
