Can someone explain why i have 1gb occupied on startup?

Hi guys,
Was just wondering if anyone could be as kind to explain from the screenshots below, is this normal for 1gb of ram to be in use when the computer has just been loaded up?

Lol man my computer starts up with 2GB (and 2GB for page file) of used RAM, I got 12GB of RAM so it’s no biggie. That is very normal.
