I never used Audacity but I use Sound Forge Pro 10 and I’m certain it will fill all your needs.

Thanks for reply! Is there also a function allowing to “imitate” musical instruments? I mean choosing an instrument, setting a note, playing the note with the instrument… ?

There’s really no need since you can simply use copy/cut paste from any audio source and merge into another.
In other words, use the original note/instrument or sample and punch it into the project that’s being edited.
However, you might not be thinking of an exclusive editing/modifying software program; your needs could be more in line of digital studio software like one from Cakewalk.

I know this possibility but I don’t want to use anything what’s not mine, or have any kind of copyrights on it.
That Music Creator 6 from Cakewalk might be it. Seems it’s not cracked though.
Magix Music Maker is exactly what I need. I appreciate your help mate! Take care!
