A friend has given me a challenge…

A friend of my dads who has been a dive master for 40+ years just finished teaching his last student (ME!) how to dive. He knows I’m on the internet too much (I disagree) and provided me with the task of trying to market/sell his underwater footage (he offered me 60% of the purchases). Now, I’m not here to try to get anyone here to buy anything, but I have some issues with this. I’m not a marketing expert, his videos aren’t the highest of quality (but they are very unique!), and his website isn’t exactly attractive.
So I am looking for some suggestions, what can I do to increase his website traffic, should I post some of these videos on YouTube and collect Ad Revenue, upload to Pond5, or anything else.
He also has 2 TB of this stuff… so there are HOURS of footage.
