Does a netbooks power settings affect its perfromance?

October 5th, 2013

Hi
I was just wondering,
On my netbook I have different power consumption settings for my battery.
I use ‘Power saver’
But if I used ‘High Performance’ Would it give me a little extra performance for playing games?, speed them up just a little, make them less likely to crash perhaps?
Thanks

Nope, not while your using it.
Answer #2
damn..
wanted it to giv eme more performance lol
ok
i guess it just shuts down processes until they are needed then?
a chance that that may slow down sum games tho
maybe

IMO yes, it would give you some more performance however it wouldn’t be an enormous difference. Using my laptop, low power does give me less performance (ergo high power gives me more).
After a rethink actually, if you’re gaming there is a high chance you’re plugged into the wall… If this is the case, I don’t think you’d notice any difference as when plugged into the wall as most netbooks automatically jump to high performance.

hmm ok thanks
yes, i was plugged in
so i guess the games i wanted to play just cant quite cut it in netbook, nearly, but they tend to crash
(new beginning & lost horizon)
two nice point & clickers, ideal for travel.
They ALMOST run
so close, yet so far.
Shame, I was enjoying them both too.
