Installing windows 7 64-bit

can my computer support windows 7 64-bit?
Specs: Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 1.8Ghz
Nvidia Geforce GT240 1GB
2.5GB DDR2 Ram
250GB Hard Disk

Why would you install x64 when you have under 4GB of RAM?! Pointless…
EDIT:
You can install it but…. x86 (32bit) would most suit you…

64 bit > 32 bit
Some software requires 64 bit only.

If you have a 64 bit processor there is nothing bad in using windows 7 64 bit. You will probably notice no difference but still you can do it with no issues.

Go for x64, so you’d be prepared to upgrade RAM in the future and if there is a program optimized for x64 then you should see a speed boost. Plus you can run your x86 programs, so NO harm done.

yup, all you have to do is check if your cpu supports 64 bit
