August 5th, 2016

How do you permanently delete all files and traces on your hard drive or what program you use? I have of people talking about it that it is possible on a forum but i forgot which one it was. Can anyone give tips, directions, or tutorials
Answer #1
As long as you want to delete an entire drive or partition

Killdisk
http://www.killdisk.com/

The freeware version should be all you need
Answer #2
for those jobs u should only trust open source softwares, Eraser might be a good solution to do that (easy to use).
Answer #3
just to let you know the only way to completely remove all traces of anything on your hard drive would be to throw it in a fire, and incinerate it. Everything ever done on a drive is permanently stored on it, period. No matter how many reformats or clean tool you use.
Answer #4
yeah but it depends on ur level of paranoia ….
(and on what u think the attacker is able to do to recover ur datas)
Answer #5
Look — I read a Whitepaper a while back the showed the device that is used by the NSA/FBI/CIA that can
recover the magnetic polarity changes up to 18 layers deep! That is 18 overwrites!
However it takes time and cost ~$75,000 per platter to recover the data.
I will be willing to bet that -You do not now, nor will you EVER possess data that is worth that expense
to recover!!
Search Appz for Killdisk Pro — it allows for up to 99 Overwrites — NOBODY can retrieve it!!!
There are other products that can do the same.
NO need to burn the disk — people just watch too many SCIFI movies and think they are true!!

Ground “ZERO” at a 100 Megaton Hydrogen ICBM (PEACEKEEPER) should do the job, but I could be exaggerating a little??? Ground Zero might not be necessarily true, with-in a mile should suffice.
