creating lan

Hi is it possible to plug a crossover cable into a dial up card on 1 pc (not a network card) and a network card on another pc and create a lan? thanks

i don’t think so. dial up modem is analog and would not work on a LAN.
just buy a cheep NIC at a local shop or ebay.
