Rapidshare – Amount downloaded much less than bandwidth used

August 6th, 2016

So, really strange problem, not entirely sure how to explain it but anyway.
When I download files from RapidShare I receive much less that I have actually downloaded.
I have tried both the RapidShare Manager and Flashget, both show me downloading at approximately 600KB/s (it varies a bit) but another application that measures my bandwidth used (DU Meter) shows that I am using all of my connection at 1.2MB/s. The actual amount I have downloaded now is approximately 300MB-350MB however my traffic has reduced by 1133MB, which is approximately the total bandwidth I have used, according to my download meter. Strangely, my RapidShare logs show that I have downloaded 333215KB, which is the actual amount I have received.
I have previously used RapidShare with all the same settings and it worked correctly, I renewed my account earlier today and since then I have had this problem.
Cheers

Answer #1
I have heard using multiple simultaneous parts per link can cause that type of behavior
Answer #2
It still happens when downloading in a browser =\
Answer #3
Really strange. I suggest removing your inlog data and temporary files. Add your RS account again to the software.
Otherwise, just contact Rapidshare, their support is ok.
