New Phone, blackberry 9700, 9800 or something else?

I’m creating a new topic here because I need some advice of people who have a good knowledge in phones, and because the blackberry torch 9800 isn’t available yet in Switzerland.
To talk about my actual phone, i have a 3G Iphone that I bought around 2 years ago. I lost the volume button on the left side of the phone, the vibrator doesn’t work anymore and my Iphone keeps turning off, ALONE!!
I want to change it, the new Iphone 4 seems great but I want to change, I’m 19 and I don’t know why but I keep thinking that Iphones are for kids ( sorry)
So I need your help, is the bb torch good? Can i only use it without opening it? It will remind me of my iphone!
If somebody could help me, tell me which one is better, if the 9800 is a good phone, if the slide doesn’t break after 2 months, if you have enough when you open, etc etc
If you find another phone better, tell me and explain me why if you want to, ty!

You should go for Blackberry Torch 9800. Its awesome phone. worth spending money. i am using it.
i would suggest that you should go for some android base phone.. like htc desire or any other..

GO FOR BLACKBERRY TOURCH
Torch is alright. Finding appz is hard. Limited as of yet. Device is good if not using while doing physical labour type work. The slider’s action doesn’t remain smooth. Powerful and handy enough device. If u aren’t into a very small querty physical keyboard, and have no need for blackberry specific communications ability, like bbm, or the enterprise stuff, and so-called “push” technology, then other devices may be more to your liking, like the latest samsung offering.
Torch isn’t that good. I tried it and was quite dissapointed.
I have the 9700 for about a year and I’m nothing else but THRILLED about this phone, it’s super amazing.
do your friends have blackberries? that is a major factor as you can ping with them for free. Otherwise you can try a htc desire (which my dad uses) and it’s a great phone aswell.
It’s your own choice, if you really want an iPhone, go for it, I just don’t find them usefull. (I don’t need all those apps and games and whatnot.)
If your buddies have blackberries I’d say go for a blackberry, but try both 9800 and 9700 to what you like best.
If you don’t feel good with those, go for the iPhone 4
If u rlly want to go for blackberry go for the 9700. but i highly recommend getting the iphone 4 it amazing in all aspects and ull notice a lot of upgrades compared to ur 3g its just not comparable

The universal search seems great too!
