Nintendo DS – Regioned?

I’ve noticed that there are games released for US, JPN and PAL but a friend at work says that it doesnt matter where you buy your DS as ALL games will work on ALL DS systems. Is he correct?

Yes.
Edit: more info… the only difference will be language. Jap games are usually in Japanese. Makes them hard to play if you can’t read it.
