Registry Boosters…

July 31st, 2016

Okay, so I heard about this thing called Uniblue Registry Booster, is this better then what BitDefender does? Cause BD also has the oprion to tune up the PC by cleaning the registry, defragmenting, deleting temp files, and deleting duplicate files.
Now, I use Uniblue Driver Scanner, to get my drivers, and quite honestly I’m happy with it.
Now should I also get the registry booster?
And if yes, is it okay if I have both the Uniblue one, and the BD one?
Well I kinda need BD, since it’s my security.
Thanks allot!
And please also visit this topic and see if you can help me:

all registry ‘boosters’ do not have no effect on System speed, its not recommended or neccesary to have a registry cleaner.
Now should I also get the registry booster?
No, if you really want to clean up registry, use CCLeaner, google it!
And if yes, is it okay if I have both the Uniblue one, and the BD one?
yeah its ok, but not recommended!

Oh, okay thanks.
But now, another question, how do I use CCleaner?
I’ve never used it before, what do I have to do? lol
Answer #3
very, very simple, its common sense really lol.
you can keep every setting by default, for registry, click “Scan for issues”, and make sure its not going to remove anything important!
and before you remove them, always back it up! anything else is self explanatory.
Answer #4
Wait, if I back them up, what’s the point of removing them?! :S

just to let you know, CCleaner is one of the worst registry cleaners out there.. and causes more problems than it fixes.
i wouldn’t recommend it.

bad support and options that missing as selective deleting and shred options. also, there is NO need to clean your registry at all. the only time you’d ever need to clean your registry is if you’re a person who installs/uninstalls tons of programs every day. and manually removing things from the registry has always been the safest option. it’s not hard to do either.
Answer #9
Only programs that should be messing with registry is viruses…anything else just ends up messing up files. As long as you know what you want deleted do it manually so you dont risk deleting good registries. To do it manually just open up RegEdit and look for the folder of the program you had uninstall and remove it. Simple as that. Also I found CCleaner to be effective at finding uneeded left over registries and files, so you should use that instead. Its freeware too

Don’t mess with the registry. A recipe for trouble.

boom.
and if you mess with old extensions, that always leads to trouble.

I’d recommend Eusing Free Registry Cleaner myself. I’ve never had any problems with it, been using it for a few years now. CCleaner has a basic registry cleaner, ain’t all that good as said above. I’d suggest cleaning your registry every 2 weeks with Eusing http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_cleaner/registry_cleaner.htm
And defragging it every month with NTREGOPT http://www.larshederer.homepage.t-online.de/erunt/
Answer #13
id recommend tuneup utilties 2010 instead of these programs
Answer #14
I would also recommend EUSING Free Registy Scanner and NTREGOPT as said.
CCleaner is good for cleaning up files on your hard disk, but the registry cleaner is crap.
Also: Take back-ups of your registry at regular times! You never know…
Answer #15
All registry cleaners are different and will detect errors accordingly, it’s best to only have 1 cleaner. You could try tune up utilities if you need to boost your pc. Also try defragging the registry.
