3D Movie on Sony EX720 Half-SBS

Hey guys,
I need help playing the Half-SBS movies on my TV. Apparently this current Sony Bravia can only read MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 type files and I have downloaded a MKV to try and see if it will work. The problem right now is that I don’t know which software would be suitable to convert the MKV to MPEG-2. Any help or ideas guys?

I’ve connected my laptop to my Sony Bravia and played through MPC. All good now !
