Set language for non-Unicode programs

I download an rpg game which is in Japanese language and has also a patch to change the language after the installation, in English. To do the installation right it tells me that I must change my computer’s language (cause this game not support Unicode systems) in japanese. If I change the language to Japanese will change everything in my computer to this language?

No it won’t, do it from the region and language tab and after you finish it and apply the english patch set it back to well, Greek I would assume?

You should only need the language’s files without the need to default the system to Japanese.
