How do i connect 3 monitors?

July 28th, 2013

My friend told me i needed this.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-PC-2-VGA-SVGA-MONITOR-Y-SPLITTER-CABLE-LEAD-/290390474138?pt=UK_Computing_CablesConnectors_RL&hash=item439c9efd9a#ht_1457wt_1185
But, the pins on that don’t look like the ones that i have on my graphics card.. so i wouldn’t know if it would fit? any idea what it is i need exactly.. i have a ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT graphics card if that helps.

Answer #1
Looks like your graphics card is dual-DVI?

^Does it look like that?
I’m fairly sure that using a splitter will only duplicate what is on one screen onto another. Can anyone confirm that this is the case?
Answer #2
yes that’s the exact same graphics card, i already have 2 montiors connected atm, in both of them slots.. just not quite sure how to get a 3rd one running..
Answer #3
You could use a DVI splitter cable to run 2 of the monitors together in clone mode but you cannot run 3 individual displays with that card..( you can have 2 cloned and one seperate)..

You need a suitable card for full 3 monitor use..
