What is the difference in performance between full XP (with integrated SP2) and XP (with integrated SP1) updated with SP2?

Answer #1
The full install will install the complete CD like a new/fresh install. There is a possibility that you will loose all your documents and settings doing this.
The update just updates whatever is on your PC to bring it back to default SP2 if that is what was installed initially. e.g if you changed some settings such as disabling the automatic update service and error reporting service ….. these will be returned to enabled. Or, if you removed the shortcut arrow on your desktop icons using a tweaker then the arrow will be returned …….. things like that.

I mean diffrence in performance…

None on performance. It’s just that if you install a non-SP2 you might catch some bugs off the net even before yo manage to update to SP2. It happened at my workplace. It took like a minute of just being connected to the net and had a worm infention.

Answer #6
Its exactly the same
Coz integrating SP2 over SP1 has no difference than integrating SP2
If u need any increase in performance . go to www.xable.net
and download the November update pack and integrate it to ur SP2 installation You could also remove some features and add some tweaks using nLite
Answer #7
Generally alot stabler, faster and more easier to use, with bug fixes, security holes fixed etc etc.
