Connect to PC’s upto 1 monitor? because i have a spare pc, pretty good too.. and i have this thing that i use, that i’d love to keep open 24/7 on my computer.. but java uses too much CPU and i dont like my pc running slow cause i always have lots of things open and java makes it run really slow, so i wanna be able to plug in my other pc, and somehow have it connected to the same monitor? any idea how i can do this people?
Answer #1
Umm I don’t think that’s possible unless you have a special cable that splits the monitor cable.
Answer #2
nope.. you need to have dual monitors.
and when dual monitors come into play that means you’d need a strong/stronger PSU and SLI.
Answer #3
Yes, it is possible. We currently just setup a bunch of computers to do this in our IT class. Basically you just need a simple splitter, you connect your mouse, keyboard and monitor to the splitter and then connect the splitters ends to both of your PCs. You easily switch between them with a press of a button.
I can’t find the ones we use, I’ll check tomorrow when I get to school. This is the closest thing I could find:

u can use keyboard shortcuts to switch between the computers or push a button on the splitter to switch between em. i did a little work at a computer repair shop and this is what they used to work on 3-5 computers at once
