WINXP – Problems with Windows Explorer

Hey Guys,
I have three problems with Windows Explorer I need some help with, please Help if you can. Note: Not all of these problems occur on the same system
1. In ‘My Computer’ when opening any harddisk, they always opening in a pop up window and not the original ‘My Computer’ window .. how ever this is not the case if I open My Documents while I’m in the ‘My Computer’ Window
2. Can not access ‘Folder Options’ .. if I go to the menu bar –> Tools –> **No Folder Options** (while running as system administrator

1. ive seen viruses that do something simmilar and they are a PAIN IN THE ASS to get rid off
if you go into the drive, and show hidden files and folders, there may be a ‘autorun.inf’ file.
open it, post the contents
2. repair from your install disk

yea, but this is a newly installed windows xp … doesnt it matter?

for #1, these are quite infectious, if you have opened an infected pen drive than its probably on your computer
