Why does keyboard freeze?

August 2nd, 2016

Hello all I have a logitech k750 keyboard and when I type or play games it stops responding. Any help would be appreciated. I haven’t downloaded any cracked apps or been to any suspicious sites and if I do go I will use sandboxie to go there but the sandboxie hasn’t been deleted yet that is maybe why? Can sandboxie stuff effect my computer unless I deleted it? I mean the last time I used sandboxie web browser was 3 days ago and my keyboard was still fine for 2 days after that.

Solar powered wireless keyboard..
(Who the hell thought a solar keyboard would be a good idea!??)
At any rate – – maybe the battery is low (not charging properly indoors?) Even though they do say it will charge, it can’t be a great charge)
– maybe the wireless is disconnecting – or maybe the computer is erroneously putting that wifi module to sleep? (Some games do make windows think things are not being used – usually they have interrupts for the mouse/keys that make windows think it’s not in use).
Can you try it on a notehr computer to see if it still happens?
Try telling that usb port to not suspend or power down.
Logitech Unifying receiver – sometimes they get confused and “retrain” for an imaginary new device… and lose your old one.
(I don’t think its cracked apps or sandboxie doing it)

My other computer has the same keyboard that I have had for 2 yrs and it doesn’t have the problem I have.

Try uninstalling Setpoint and see if that helps.
I find that it is more of a hassle than a help frankly. If it fixes the problem, you know where the fault is.

Its nothing to do with Sandboxie, wireless stuff is a pain in the bollocks, always drops out, try removing the USB receiver and replugging it in a different port, my son’s mouse did this all the time (got him a wired on for chrimbo), I’ve had a couple keyboards in the past that have reacted the same, being an overclocker this is particularly annoying

Cool – now can you swap them over -> see if the problem stays with the computer (2nd keyboard on 1st comp) or goes with the keyboard (to the 2nd comp).
If it stays then it means the problem is with the computer (not likely, but possibly a mismatch between USB port and device (I have some flash drives that just won’t work on usb port 3 or 4 but do on 1 and 2)).
If the fault moves with the keyboard then it’s likely a fault with the wifi dongle-tjhing (some of these little wifi modules are a bit flaky woth connections and distance).
* Have you tried the dongle in other ports on the faulting computer?
* Have you tried removing the “Device Manager” entry and letting it find it again?
