Web/graphic learning

I’ve studied for 2 years at college doing a BTEC National Diploma and it covered Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Final cut pro and a few other bits and bobs
I found the course too be very basic and pretty much a waste of time, I really want too expand my web and graphics skills so i could be confident too work in the industry but we bareley even learned any real HTML skills I was wondering what would be the best resource too learn Creative suit 4 in a indepth way and all kinds of web languages such as php css and ajax. Any input would be very much appriciated Thanks
