User Enviroment Error.

Ive just booted up my PC and everything, I mean everything has gone back to normal were its like a fresh install of XP. Even the sounds have come back when XP starts up I took em off ages ago and the take a tour of xp has come back. My folders have gone somewere from my desktop.. half of my movies ave gone.
All my cookies and bookmarks have gone.
There was an error at the start of bootup saying somet about a user enviorment error saying cant load profile. But ave not changed anything.
Is there anyway to get all this back? If not ill just format. Ive just checked now and whatever I do now, next time i restart it will go back to normal (like a fresh install).
