Unlocked iPhone slash g1 or iPhone

alright I asked a question about at&t’s service plans so I could get an iPhone. Someone menchened buing an unlocked phone and Sing t with verison or tmobile would I be able to do this with the iPhone? Buy an phone and use it with verison or tmobile? Cause Im trying to figure out what phone I want. By it depnds on the servce plans. Tmobile. Has a g1 unlimited plan(unlimited texting and unlimited Internet off the 3g network. So idk if I should get the g1 or the iPhone(supposivly has ahitty service and lots or under the carpet charges)

Well if you guys understood my rambeling than thanks for an answer. Ps if you havnt noticed I’m on my old touch atm so that why I’m leaning toward the iPhone but it has ahttyvservice provider supposivly. Thanks all!

You can’t use the iPhone or any other GSM phone on Verizon, or any other CDMA network.
The only way to unlock an iPhone 3g right now is legally. Cingular/Apple has to do it for you. If you’re not in a 3g area anyway, save the money and buy a first gen, use WinPwn to unlock it, and then use it with your T-Mobile plan.
