Trick websites to think you have a faster net speed

there is a site i need a video from the site streams in hd. but only if your net is faster enough it will play in hd
so is there a way to make it look like your net is faster then it really is ?

As far as my knowledge goes no. As id suspect it tests your speed on page load. However i am not fully sure.
Try getting the video else where or go to a friends house.
