Should i calibrate my new laptop battery?

September 28th, 2019

I posted yesterday about not been happy with my battery life of my new laptop, its a packard bell easynote tx86 with up to 6 hours battery life but id be lucky to get 3 hours with power saver on and lowest screen brightness. This is just with some browsing and playing online poker.Should i calibrate it to get the battery meter back in sync and i might get 4 hours out of it.Someone else posted that the 6 hour battery life is when the laptops idle and doing nothing. So i would be happy with four hours battery life.So should i calibrate it?any battery saving tips would be appreciated.
Answer #1
Is it possible to calibrate a battery?
btw why don’t you plug your laptop to the wall socket?
Answer #2
Yes you fully charge, discharge and charge up again.Apparently it helps your battery and extends life. But should i do it to a new battery?Yes i do use the wall socket most of the time but when i dont i want the battery to last as long as its supposed to,i should be getting 4 hours.

the Li-Ion batteries can’t be calibrated. The 1st charge is no different to the 5th or the 50th charge; so there’s no point really.
