SATA Driver & Intel MoBo Problem

August 6th, 2016

I have the following computer config
Intel g35ec motherboard Win xp 2 gb ram 160 gb sata 2 hdd
Whenever i try to install the sata driver for intel motherboard it fails with the error message
‘This computer computer does not meet the minimum requirements’
The same occured when i tried to install the driver in vista. According to intel website my motherboard supports the AHCI SATA interface.
and this when enabled in BIOS, does work with DEFAULT (generic) driver in windows vista.
Can anybody point out a solution for this problem ? If yes how can I integrate the drivers in my xp installation ?
thank you in advance !

Answer #1
well disable AHCI in the BIOS and see if it works. You need sata drivers for the OS disc to load properly either by floppy (ancient) or have it integrated into the disc beforehand. If you want to integrate sata drivers, for XP use Nlite and Vista use Vlite

well it does work in IDE emulation mode. All I want to know is how to make the AHCI work.
Is it possible to use any other driver other than those given by Intel or microsoft ?
