Rage PC texture problems.

Who else has has experienced Rage texture problems on the PC?
Are there any fixes for the texture problems?

Try to install new drivers expecially if u have ati radeon video card

I already did that yesterday. There is a lot of texture pop in throughout the game. Is there a patch that I can download? I noticed you can’t tweak the graphics at all. Is there a patch for that? Thanks!

ya there is..
but this fix was used when the game released..
i guess patches[v 1.03 i guess] solved all the prob..
still i’m posting it.. check whether its helpful..
1. Apply GPU Transcoding options for high-end graphics cards.
For high end graphic cards goto settings in game and enable GPU transcoding
2. Create a game cache folder that RAGE most likely forgot to create during installation

Create a folder named id software
in C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\
n create a folder named rage in id software folder..
n start the game..
3. For nVidia GeForce users, tweak your GPU hardware settings (vertical sync) in the nVidia Control Panel
goto nvidia control panel and enable vsync
and triple buffering on
N FOR ATI USERS
DO the second step and downloaded the ati rage hotfix at

4..Add the following launch parameters in the shortcut of rage:
+cvaradd g_fov 12 +com_allowconsole 1 +com_skipIntroVideo 1 +image_anisotropy 16 +image_usecompression 0 +g_showplayershadow 1 +m_smooth 0
5.. Create a file called rageconfig.cfg in Rage/base/ and put the following commands in there:
vt_pageimagesizeuniquediffuseonly2 8192
vt_pageimagesizeuniquediffuseonly 8192
vt_pageimagesizeunique 8192
vt_pageimagesizevmtr 8192
do one by one n check the difference..
step 4 n 5 r the impt tweaks..

First:
I did play this game with two different setup which depends on AMD driver version….
Are you playing WITH or Without Update 1 – Because update solve this error with texture, and I am sure that you have newest version of driver……

So, install update 1 – you can download it from Toothless, and install newest driver from above if you didn’t…..
Update 1 is MUST:

Check game…..maybe you do NOT need to change anything with newest driver
If you still have problem with texture make sure that in Catalyst Control Center A.I. is set to ENABLE…
Run game – if game freezes you can add this to desktop shortcut, check picture:

Now try again…
All above is for AMD drivers 11.10 and newest….
If still something is wrong you can install old version of display driver:
Install Display Catalyst driver11.9….
With this driver you need this only:
In Catalyst Control Center you need to Disable A.I.
If you did add something to desktop shortcut change to default path, run game, hope this will work.
This worked for me….both solution……
