QUICK question

Me and my friend want to play against eachother in Super Smash Bros (on laptops) We both have an n64 emulator with super smash bros, how can we play against eachother on separate laptops?

If the game doesn’t support the TCP/IP protocol..or similar…it can’t exchange packets…so no LAN game…

I saw some other kids in my class playing against eachother (im pretty sure they were using project64)
If no one can help, i’ll just ask them next time i see them
