Ps3 region confusion ! ! !

Im 4m asia n its pal,b region.I currently dont own a hdtv.My quests r,
1.If i buy a ps3 4m usa will it work in my area?I checked my tv with both pal and ntsc output n it could play both.My concerns about the voltage.Its 220v here.Does ps3 run on 100~240v.My sony digCam was brought 4m us n it works here…
2.R ps3 games region free?
3.If i buy a hdtv n play via hdmi will i still have to b concerned about the ps3 being pal or ntsc?

I thought PS3’s were fully region free. … maybe I’m wrong, so wait till a experienced PS3 user replies.

Well i also thought like that,but after googling it seems that the consoles r region locked n some games r also…Any help??
