program for animation- (is there something fairly easy?)

so yeah in short. ive requested some help with something in Graphics Request section… but didnt seam to catch anyones interests. (link is in my signature if you wanna look. ). But then i wondered if there was some easy way /Program to do this with. ?
Dont know exactly what i wanna do. But take a picture and maybe ad some flickering effect- or just have fade effect – just something that looks good. And i know how to do this in photoshop. But like my avatar it will either get choppy or crave about 1000 frames/pictures to look good. So Is there are program that either has some features to just add this by itself. . . Or is there a program where i can learn this fairly quick ?

You could try some form of Flash, but you probably want to use an animated Gif and there are no doubt several gif animation progs in the apps forum. This would certainly be the easiest for you. If you need thousands of frames you are probably being too ambitious withyour avatar.

oh you didnt look at the link i guess
But its not for the avatar but a 1360×768 picture i wanna spice up and use for a screensaver. So when its that big it needs more frames i guess, otherwise it will look like crap But those gif programs your talking about. . . . dont they just do the same as Photoshop ?

The GIF programs won’t enable you to create new animations, but animate old videos, etc.
I agree Flash would be the prime choice.

ok but thats just takes a bigger learning curve right ? Or is it easy enough to get into ? Never messed with flash before.

flash is becoming old-school, try After Effects, it takes more time to learn it but the results u get are exquisite

yeah i saw something about that. Just to lazy to spent to much time on it and not sure what i wanna do with the pic exactly. . . But maybe ill have to look into that .-
EDIT: suddenly i just figured exactly what id wanna do… but no idea if i can make it happen .
