Answer #4
Never seen that before, but it’s a .png file and looking at the pic you posted I’d say it’s something to do with the layer that contains the writing …….. I don’t really know though.
Answer #5
East to get rid of.
In Photoshop, Select view, below extras select show. Deselect guides.
Job done!
Answer #6
well not sure its the same… but when you mentioned it i thought of view/Rulers instead. . . .
Answer #7
They are guide lines. You can get rid of them by going to VIEW/CLEAR GUIDES. (or whatever the equivalent is in CS4, they are used for many things but mainly snapping to precise measurements.
Answer #8
i know they’re guides and i’m not worried about getting rid of them. i’m just surpised to see them showing up in JPG, and i’m wondering why they’re there.
the positioning of the guides suggests to me that they were used to place the text, which would imply that this JPG is somehow related to the original PSD.
Answer #9
the slice tool is selected in the toolbar
select something else and see if the lines go away
Answer #10
slice tool? that’s the pencil…
Answer #11
Ok, when the image was saved as a jpg the guidelines were left there, the guideline information is preserved so when you open the image in PS the guides are there. That’s your answer.
Answer #12
those are guide lines
Answer #13
Is that realy JPEG file format?
PSD for example keeps guide lines. You can show or hide them using this combination: Ctrl + H
Answer #14

They sure look like it. And like said, if you save a jpeg from photoshop it will save the guide lines, not only just in PSD files.
