i installed windows xp professional sp2 untouched
you install on top of old XP or a clean install by deleting the partition & recreating it before install
i installed from windows xp home edition to xp pro sp2 sum1 just told me i shud burn it as a iso image and then when i restart the windows install screen fer windows will popup…
unless you have data you want to save on your hard drive the best way to install is to start clean
deleting the partition & recreating it before install with the XP disk when it asks where you want to install
google “clean install XP”, there’s lots of site with info and find 1 that shows you how
come on back with questions
well i did that im now at the windows setup thing and it saids setup windows is startin but nuttin is goin on i used a iso burn image to do that but idk wat to do now its just loadin wid nuttin but blue screen sads setup windows

it so it’s working
if you continue to have problems re-burn the CD at the lowest rate, like 4x

use the unpartitioned space and select NTFS quick format

When you have deleted the partition you need to go back and create a new partition, here you can configure the size of the partition you want to install the OS onto. Once you create the new partition click on full format NTFS and let it go on from there.
