PC Problem

August 27th, 2013

So I’m gonna buy a 400W or a 600W SMPS for my PC. Will this overheat my motherboard? Please help.
Thanks

The wattage rating of a power supply is what it is capable of supplying to the components in your PC when required.
A higher rated PSU will not force more power into the motherboard and cause overheating.
It wont do any harm to have a power supply bigger than watt you actually need
This calculator can give you an idea..

Also, get a PSU that is from a good company (Antec, Corsair, PC power and Cooling, Seasonic, etc…)
and not something like Coolmax.
