PC can’t identify wired router.

October 30th, 2023

Ok, my router works fine on other computers wired and on laptop wireless. So router is fine. But on my PC “identifying” is forever. I tried to uninstall and install ethernet driver but still have the same problem.. What the hell is the problem? Cables are fine, router is fine, internet works.. but not on my PC..
Answer #1
I can’t help you much.
Did you tried to use wireless card, for me it works better than when I had the wire.
Answer #2
I would verify there are not manual settings on tcp/ip ipv4 .. go automatic if needed and check again if it’s able to connect
Answer #3
what OS? ^is correct, you may have the wrong default settings and need to “repair” or restore them.
Answer #4
As above , either try the generic repair options on the network device . Or check that there aren’t any invalid DNS servers specified . Or indeed local Ips assigned that aren’t vaild within the DHCP servers range or addresses that have been reserved .
