Paid For Android Applications (Pirated, Cracked) Called What

August 9th, 2016

Hi,
I’m new to ‘smartphones’ as my previous phone was an old touchpad Sony Erricson. I now have a HTC Desire which I plan to root and flash a custom rom to but I’m still a little confused about android applications.
I think my confusion stems from Apple IOS where the device is required to be jailbroken in order to sideload applications that have not been downloaded from their Apple Store but I read Android is different and Root or any other modification is not required to run pirated applications.
So I’m just wondering what it’s referred to when downloading pirated apps ? And do they require any modification, licensing, verification.. limitation/restrictions etc. What is the difference and where do android pirated applications come from ? Was they purchased from Google play store then shared on p2p networks or have they been cracked/modified in some way.
Also is their any risks when downloading Android applications like miraculous code or is it really simple to search out an app take for example 4EXT Recovery Control how do I verify or know it’s legit.. I’m really confused I want to load my phone with a bunch of apps and games. Is it a simple transfer and install ? Thanks And what terms can I use to search for Android Applications/Games on Google that are pirated ?
