Office 2016 install help

August 30th, 2017

I have burned the file from here that’s the 32 and 64 bit versions to a DVD and ran the setup.exe and I get a screen that tells me it’s a 32 bit version and I will need to get the 64 bit version. I then opened the dvd to view files and went into the office folder and tried running the setup64.exe and I get a pop up that says getting files ready then it goes away and does nothing. I have tried this on a windows 7 and a Windows 10 machine and ran both as administrator. I also took winrar and extracted the downloaded ISO then put on a flash drive and tried but still get the same results.

If you are going to pirate it get the volume licensing versions SW_DVD5_Office_Professional_Plus_2016_64Bit_English_MLF_X20-42432.ISO yeah you can convert the click to run ones to volume licensing but chances are it wont last longer than one or two updates.
As for your problem here 5$ says its the release get the official vl iso SW_DVD5_Office_Professional_Plus_2016_64Bit_English_MLF_X20-42432.ISO and try again.

Try en_office_professional_plus_2016_x86_x64_dvd_6962141.iso from the My Digital Life forum.

^ Be careful if you are activating using KMS chances are if you install the office 365 version and convert it to volume licensing it will revert back to office 365 after an update.
That’s exactly what happened during the preview. SW_DVD5_Office_Professional_Plus_2016_64Bit_English_MLF_X20-42432.ISO is the volume licensing iso and it is designed t be activated via kms so we know an update wont convert it back to office 365 activation.

Since Office v2010 I have used the Volume Edition with a KMS Activation Service which automatically re-activates every 180 days. I never had any problems with this method. Perhaps you should try.
