Movies to Ipad

April 25th, 2022

Hello all! Quick question about moving files to Ipad after downloading them from here. My mum is going on holiday and has asked me to download her a few movies for the flight to watch on her Ipad. So i downloaded the requested movies and began to convert them to the file formats i thought that an Ipad would be able to playback. “Video formats supported: H.264 video up to 1080p, 30 frames per second, High Profile level 4.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG‑4 video up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format”
This is what I pulled off the apple site so I figured that converting to these formats would mean the files would then work on Itunes/Ipad video players. However after the tedious process of converting the file (which takes ages on my dads laptop) I load it up to find it ONLY PLAYS AUDIO. The files is there and it plops itself in the “home videos” section of itunes but it only comes up with a blank black background and plays the audio over the top.
It works with VLC player but obviously this is quite a robust player so….
Any advice would be sound!

try another converter like ‘Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate’ (search it here on WBB). This software allows you to choose format/hardware (like ipad, ipod, iphone, ps3, xbox etc) that you want to format to. It does the things automatically for you. I think you didn’t convert the video quite right.

Have you tried “Super”? Or the Windows Movie Maker?
The last one was always bugging on previous Win versions but now it’s running smooth.
