Make a bootable usb drive with my own set of utilities > iso files?

August 2nd, 2016

Hello,
I’m curious if someone here can help me out with this issue I’ve been trying to solve for hours.
I used Xboot, refus, Sardu and none of them seem to work. Probably my fault.
So I got a set of iso files I do not want to burn to CD but instead want to put on my 16GB usb drive to boot from.
When I boot I have indeed changed the boot order to make sure my usb drive boots before windows does.
It is in this order:
cd drive
usb drive
windows 7 64-bit
It would be really awesome to load your own set of tools on a bootable usb instead of having to use haren’s cd tools or something like that that has alot of stuff you don’t want to use.
I think I’m missing something crucial yet for a newbie into this boot stuff not noticeable unless someone points it out.
The big question is what could I be missing here that causes it not to boot but skip to windows?

Answer #1
Possibly the iso is not bootable..

We need more info. What are you trying to make bootable?
Answer #3
Did you make an autorun file?

I have used YUMI to successfully create a multiboot ISB with many ISOs on it.

You can also use Windows to go and simply install the full version of programs even programs that don’t have a boot cd version. If you work in IT I thoroughly recommend you setup windows to go on a usbhdd (free) or if you can afford a windows to go certified drive like the Kingston portable workspace.
