Laptop left inside car–> died

December 27th, 2017

Acer v3 111P 43BC
I left it inside my car the whole day, under the seat. Temperature outside was 105 deg F. It was off when i left it. The next day, it won’t start, like it is totally dead. No lights of some sort. Even its plugged on a charger, no charging light is on. If i will attempt to repair it, where should i start? Mobo, hdd, or processor? I have access to cheap parts for this laptop but it won’t be cheap if i end up buying all these parts. Please advise which should i replace. Thanks.

he has plainly stated

Even with a dead or no battery, plugged in it would boot on an AC power source.
OP it could be anything. Maybe it got so hot the solder on the power connector softened and dropped of. literally could be 100 things. Perhaps start by taking it apart carefully and looking to see no wires have released.
Sounds like it would be cheaper to take it in for repair.

As advised, i removed the battery and checked if it is bloated or kind of curved on the flat side then i removed the hard drive too. I found nothing unusual with the laptop so i reinstalled the parts, noting the part numbers so i can start getting them one at a time. After it was reassembled, i just kind of tried to start it and darn… It did start like nothing happened. Charger worked too. I don’t understand what happened. May be some connections lossen up when it expands during extreme heat and was fixed when a reassembled it. Thank you for all your help and time. Without your advises, i won’t even touch it because i don’t know where to start. Again… Thank you much.

the battery internal temperature most like died from the excess heat, you got lucky it was able to come back on after it cooled back down.
