Intel HD Graphics 3000 what are they?

A quick thread to seek information as to exactly what Intel Corporation – Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2 – Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 are?
Are they needed using a Nvidia 9800GT & windows 8 pro?
I hope someone can explain just what these are for me.
Any insight greatly appreciated

These are the drives I think for the built in graphics on the Intel CPU. Not sure they will do any harm on your system even though u have an add-on GPU

Integrate graphics, don’t need it if you have dedicate video card. Yours is a 9800GT
