I want to be a producer.

I’m a complete novice.
I basically have a pc with an xfi sound card, what else would I need?
Are there any training videos (for beginners) I can watch.
Any help/tips to get me started?
It all depends on how you wanna make that music.
There are a number of options, Such as:
A) Recording live Instruments (I.E if you know how to play a piano or a guitar)
This will require a professional sound card however (And probably a good mic too)
B) Working with samples. There are many different sample libraries.
Basically, A sample is a short sound that can be looped further. If you find a sample you like, You can clone it and extend it as much as you like, You could also combine it with other samples at the same time. It takes a lot of work, But you could make a good sounding track at the end! C) Working with virtual instruments (VSTIs) – There are various VSTis of different instruments/synths. Basically, They’re computerized versions of actual instruments, But your not gonna be able to use em strictly with a mouse/keyboard, You’re gonna need a midi keyboard too (Not to mention a professional sound card, Creative ones are not made for professional use!)
Also, Do you plan on recording your vocal too or just make music?
What kind of music are you into?

The software to actually make the music you would need something like FL Studio (search the Apps section).
As for the tutorials, YouTube is a really good help, they have ALOT of tutorials for beginners
