Hp laptop ram issues

hey guys
got a new laptop: hp pavilion g6 1138ee
processor: intel core i3-2310m cpu @2.1ghz
windows 7 ultimate 32bit
system informatio shows: installed memory -> 4.00GB(2.45 usuable)
whats the problem that it only uses 2.45 gb ram ?

Couple of thoughts,
Refesh your windows score in system.
Restore BIOS to best settings.
