How to take a DVD out of computer when PSU Died..

October 5th, 2013

My super Micro PC the size of a laptop, PSU died out and it wont turn on. I have a DVD in there which I want to take out. It’s hard to take of the DVD Tray because the CPU Fan is in the way with the Metal thing. Even if I were to take those out, how to Open up the Tray to retrieve the DVD?

On the front bezel you should have a very small hole that you can insert a straightened paper clip into.
This should open he door of the CD/DVD player.

I tried looking for that, I didn’t see it. Do all PC’s have that?

Sometimes you have to remove a front panel to expose the manual release hole.
If your drive doesn’t have a manual release; you will have to remove the drive itself.
Answer #4
If you dont want your DVD drive then you can just remove it and break it open, or look for the small hole and push it with a pin.
Answer #5
If it like a laptop drive, this might help..
