Game Save Recovery Help

October 25th, 2013

So I made a really stupid mistake and deleted my Skyrim save. Luckily, I found a way to recover the data with Xport 360 by putting it in recover mode. Doing this, I found the deleted files and copied them, then pasted in a folder on my desktop. After going through some trouble I learned that I can import these files back onto my 360HDD with Xplorer360. I imported the files right back onto my 360HDD into the Skyrim folder (And I kno this is the correct folder cause I even went and made a new game in Skyrim that way I could see the save file in the explorer). Everything was fine up until this point.
When Skyrim loads up the title screen and asks if I want to continue, start a new game, or load a game if I select “continue” or “load” then an error message pops up saying the disk is unreadable. I can start a new game however so Im pretty sure the problem is the save file Im trying to recover.
If anyone can help in any way it would be greatly appreciated! I can start a new game but I really dont want to, Id lose so much. And I wasnt sure if this belonged in help or game saves, sry if this is the wrong place.
Also, whenever I try and put Xport360 in recovery mode again it crashes. When I click “content” under “partition 3” it starts loading and then doesnt respond. It was working fine at first but now its not.

I made a little progress, I guess… I used Le Fluffe to open the save and under the “content” tab where it has the savegame.dat I right clicked it and clicked “Fix hashes”. It asked me to choose a file, and I didnt really understand why as I dont kno what fix hashes even means, so I chose the new save file I had created. Nothing appeared to happen. Then I injected the save back onto the 360HDD with Xplorer360.
Now, I dont get the disc unreadable message at all anymore, but when I try to load the save it just goes to the load screen and never actually loads. Its not frozen cause the music is playing and screens keep changing. Im about to just give up, Ive done everything I can think of.
