Full size movies

I believe there used to be a link in the movies section for full size (not compressed) movies. Is there any place on that full size movies are still offered? Thank you for your help. Joe Smokey

Most would be compressed in some form, as files would be too big otherwise. I can understand not wanting the mini encodes, but as long as you download a reasonable sized file, i’m sure quality would suit.

every movie is compressed whether you download it from here or purchase it on bluray or dvd otherwise it would be close to 1000GB for a movie. can you imagine downloadin that? movies are stored in a lossy compressed format to save space and they are an approximation to the source video.

Thanks for all your help. I realize that all movies are compressed but to me it is a matter of degree. Alot of movies in the Movies section of are only 500 mb and the quality really suffers. I will continue to try to find better quality files. Thanks again, Joe

If you’re really into getting full sized DVD or BR movies, I think you should go for Binaries newsgroups.

I know what you mean about the ‘low quality’ movies, there be like 70 posts of the same release (yify 700MB) but you might find a few proper 720p releases (around 4GB)

I think you are talking about DVD-R and BD-R, that is movies that have been ripped from the source disc and left untouched. Being the original and not compressed, they are huge in size, DVD single layer 4.7 GB, DVD double layer 8.5 GB, Blu-ray single layer 25 GB and Blu-ray double layer 50 GB.

always download better up-loaders 720p – 1080p you can find it easily all popular movies size is reasonable also.
