Extracting files to single folder

July 25th, 2013

Hello! A buddy of mine came over today to show me a program, and we got to talking and I told him I was looking into getting a program called EZDrummer, so he took me to this website, logged in and found it, and told me to try downloading it from this site.
Welp, it’s been a whole heap of trouble since
I have a very basic knowledge of downloading junk, I’ve used other websites before but all those files were just one download and everything I needed was just zipped inside, so extract and run the install, and do everything you gotta do and bam! You got it!
But this whole multiple smaller sized downloads thing is giving me a headache. First off I went to get JDownloader, as my friend told me too, but it seems JDownloader was messing up with my catalyst graphics card. When I went to download Jdownloader, it opened up the instal screen for Catalyst
I have a Radeon HD 5450 graphics card. I updated the drivers after googling the issue, went back to download Jdownloader and the same problem still persisted.
So I dropped getting Jdownloader and just went to each individual download link listed for EZDrummer and downloaded each bit seperately. From my understanding all JDownloader does is basically queue up what you want to download, so I just bypassed needing it and did it all myself one by one.
So now, I have 7 zipped winrar patches basically, and one zipped keygen. But in the zipped folders, parts 4, 5, and 7 have the same exact named contents, and other pieces have the same named contents as well, so when I go to extract part 1 to it’s own file, it’s fine, then part 2 asks if I want to overwrite certain files in part 1. So I don’t quite know what to do with that.
So that’s question/problem number 1, do I overwrite files from seperate parts?
My second problem is when I open these parts in WinRar, I receive an error message that reads:
WinRAR: Diagnostic Messages
C:\Users\Name\Downloads\EZD.part02.rar: Unexpected end of archive
I receive that message for parts 1-7 more or less
And I receive another error message for the keygen, the error says “Cannot Execute” and then has the long file name and placement whatnot.
So at this point I’m pretty shot on what to do now, googling the end of archive problem, the only option I got was to get 7zip, or that the file was not compressed properly.
The EZDrummer download post on this site had a maybe 10 pages of people saying it worked great and saying thanks and whatnot so I really don’t think it’s a bad batch of files. I’ve just never used Warez before and it is giving me one hell of a time.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

For JDownloader you need Java
http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp?detect=jre&try=1
Place all the files in a single folder and then extract. If there are any corrupt parts then download that part again.

Selecting yes or no to overwrite the files does not matter because these are duplicate files packed into each archive. (i.e. txt or nfo)

These are split archive files that your archive manager program (WinRAR) will automatically join and decompress;
as long as all parts are contained in the same folder while executing this procedure.
Start with EZD.rar or EZD.part01.rar whichever you have.

Thank you to you both, part 2 was corrupted it seemed so I’m redownloading it now, so hopefully I’ll get this all soon. Thank you again!
