earphone wire disconnecting

is there anyway of preventing the wires that are inside the earphone near the jack of disconnecting? i always leave a little wire sticking out when i wind it up but now my 3rd set of earphones got disconnected internally.

stop buying cheap headphones
i use a good pair of headphones with wires that are replaceable, so it’s not a big deal when they wear out (which is inevitable). but still, i’ve only replaced the cable once in the 5 years i’ve had them, and i use them every day…

not cheap, just that in my pants, the little plug in thingy is sticking out so it goes against my leg and bends and eventually bends enough times to make the wire inside slowly rip
