Delete songs on ipod

what program works the best to delete songs off my ipod classic without using itunes…..i have several 900 songs and lots i don’t like..

im not 100% but isn’t it possible to just use windows explorer to open the ipod and delete it?
it works for mp3’s but i know ipods are very different

itunes i like the only app that knows how to read ipods (or anything from apple lol). but there are alternatives:

yeah i thought that too, its kinda different from mp3 players. from my exsperience, any song/movie added to ipod, can only be removed by itunes, unless you use the alternative ^^^.

I would use Winamp with the ML_IPOD extension. Things works great.

i think u can do it with win explorer…explorer the ipod and make sure u can see hidden folders…i have got access to the songs b4, just not sure if u cn delete them….give it a shot!
