CS:Source Freezing when I join a Server

Here is my problem. It happens about 75% of the time. I will join a server, load the maps, then after the maps are loaded i get to this screen:

When this happens, it completely locks up the game and I can’t close out of it or minimize it. The only way to get out of it is through task manager. I’ve been able to join the server about 75% of the time. This happens on almost every server though so I know it isn’t that server.
I also know my specs are fine.
Model: ASUS M50Sv-A1
– Core 2 Duo T9500 Processor
– nVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS – 3GB DDR2 667 RAM
– 250GB 5400RPM HDD.
Help would be great.

Is this a legit version?
Try uninstalling all your codecs. Sounds funky but just try it.

It’s a legit version. And I am running on a brand new installation of Windows Vista 32-bit. Only things installed are FireFox, Ventrillo, CS:S, IDM, and Digsby. So I am running on the default codecs.

Disable IDM IE integration and check. When joining a server the motd will be IE

Disabled IDM integration with IE-Based browsers and it still froze.
