Hello, I have a wireless notebook and a wireless printer. I do not have any internet connection at home but I connect to an unsecured wireless network of a friend nearby to use the internet. My question is when I am online I need to do a lot of printing so can I print to the wireless printer and if so how? I heard someting about ad-hoc and did some research but I am a little unclear. If I get this to work in ad-hoc mode, would I have to keep switching networks to print(because the internet connection would be on one network and the printer on another) I know a router would be good but I just need to know.

I set up one the other day, on my Mums wireless laptop, it connects to the same network as the computer so no you don’t have to keep switching. I didn’t use ad-hoc though, but it found the network I was on easy enough.
