Anyone know what is currently the best Internet security suite that’s tested working for Windows 7 x64 64 bit, and why? Prefer one that is final and stable–not beta. Any recommendations? Thanks.

My opinion is that BitDefender is better but they haven’t released an update regarding firewall problems in windows 7 yet

This is what I use, AVG on my gaming pc and Nod32 on my server pc.
AVG and nod great programs, but early versions of nod32 cause me slowdowns during gaming so that’s why I don’t use them on my gaming pc.

sandboxie doesnt work on 7, and isnt a security suite. i use NOD32, works great

I have Kaspersky on my 64 bit version and F secure on the 32 bit and I would recommend them both. I wouldn’t recommend Norton, the uninstaller leaves much behind and the program works very annoying to me.

I don’t think NOD32 is a very powerful software. Running Kaspersky after NOD32 makes me feel that I am actually getting some Protection.

lol I’m going with iMax on this one, I heard the same thing, and I felt the same way when I went from AVG to Avast, then to Vipre, it actually found a TON of things, that Avast & AVG never found. Now I’m trying Kaspersky and feel even safer with the anti-ad banner crap. Man, do I feel ripped off going to this, I even bought Vipre, boy was I a fool…

No It’s not NOD32, its by the same company that made NOD32 yes. But it is not NOD32, it does not say NOD32 anywhere in the app etc.

SB is x86 only unless things changed in the last week or 2
Bitdefender works fine as doesKaspersky as does Norton as does McAfee.

I think your finger is glued to the caps button. . . . Anyways . . . check my sig. Theres the recommended from Cnet (virus-firewall and all that). Note that im not claiming they are more right than anyone here. But the stats say they do know a bit of what they are talking about. But anyways. I always stick with AVG Free and never have problems there, so no need for me to change.

I use Deep Freeze 6.61 standard (which is compatible in Windows 7) and freeze the whole C:\ partition leaving the rest partitions like d:\ e:\ etc. unfreeze. And combine it using Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.

Have a new pc but am unable to get sound from it. If i connect speakers to the back i can get sound. Would prefer not to use speakers though.
Is there a setting i need to enable?

It’s a desktop i’m having trouble with.
I can’t see any speakers on it. My previous desktop was able to output sound & i can’t see any speakers on this either.

It would be unusual for a PC to have speakers in it..You normally need to plug speakers into back or front..

A Pc does not have speaker beside those from the case/motherboard (beep/alarm sound)
To get sound. Your monitor have to support/have sound build in and use a HDMI cable to connect it from the monitor to the PC. Or a vga/dvi and a wire jack.

Durr, my mistake. Had the cable from my monitor plugged into the wrong jack on the pc.

I’m trying to play online with my mate, I made a hamachi network and got him to join, then I made a server on cs 1.6 and in console wrote sv_lan 0 to play online, and when he joins this happens. We are not playing on LAN.
What can I do? Don’t suggest me to buy it, as I already have source.

I’d suggest you host a dedicated server with a password on it. This way only your friend will be able to join your game.
I use Hamachi too for playing online games like Fifa.
Though when using a dedicated server, you won’t need hamachi.

hello everybody. well i have a sony 170A dvd writer which screws up every dvd i burn so i have planned to buy a new one.so the prob is i m confused with which to buy, so i need some good suggestion. the brands of dvd writers available in my country are sony, asus, lg, samsung, benQ and liteon. so please suggest me which brand to purchase . I have a A170 myself, are you sure its the writer thats causing the probs, could be poor quality of CD / DVD’s Also have you tried burning at lower speeds (like 4x and below) ?

on the page u should have a fewtabs , find crc checking then click autofix , u may have to do this twice as it may not check partitions first time round hope this helps buddy

i’ve a nokia 5300 here and my problem is:
whenever someone call me, i cant hear the person’s voice thats calling me xD but it’s displayed at my phone that he/she is calling.
i’ve made a little experiment by using my home telephone, it’s the same thing happen(which is state above) and 1 thing i discover, when i speak to the phone the person thats calling me can hear me.
so,
when someone call me, i cant hear his/her voice but he/she can hear my voice.
i wonder, is it to do with my phone settings or just my phone are all out? >.<‘ because my lil sis been playing around with my phone before this happens.
btw, when he/she is calling me and i cant hear a thing, but when i put on the loudspeaker, i can hear his/her voice

thats a problem with the earpiece, the thing that gives you sound on the top, usually when somebody calls you.
if you want to blame on your lil sis, then ask her if she dropped it. if she did, then she probably have disconnected the cable between the earpiece and the mobo.
giving it to the cell phone service will solve the problem.

hi guys i have a problem,i insert my gamepad into my pc and load the game but the gamepad doesnt work on it…..and i have to play with keyboard….can anyone help me?must i change options?

go to control panel and go into joypad settings see if its detecting
